Stavanger 2008

Dear storytellers.
A sad message from Stavanger: The symposium 11-17 of august has been
canceled.
Please forward this to everyone you know is considering going to the
symposium there in august.

Why?

I don´t have the information why this has happened, and there is nothing on
the website yet ( www.fortellersenteret.no ). But I had it confirmed from
the chairman of the board. We will just have to wait for the official
announcement by the mainsponsor Stavanger2008 that has made this decision.

Meeting in Oslo 14-16 August?
One of the things that were about to happen was a conference where the
Federation for European Storytelling was to be founded. This is still
possible: Storyteller and Assistant Professor Heidi Dahlsveen who is leading
the storytelling education at the University college in Oslo is ready to
organize a meeting. Applications has just been made for this.

I know that representatives for the storytelling movements in a number of
countries were planning for Stavanger. Now we need to know if you are
willing to come to Oslo instead. This meeting will be in a smaller scale,
and with focus on creating the federation.
